Only 55 km from the Cancun airport, the Mayan City, Xcaret is located, Nowadays an attractive park. When arriving, a modern concrete pyramid will welcome you, where there is a museum, a restaurant, a gallery, a souvenir store and an ample viewpoint. From there, many ways start and lead you beaches, creeks and the dolphins' zone; other ways lead you to the lagoon, the "cenote" (the natural well) and the underground river that is one of the best attractions in this place.
In Xcaret, you will find a wild birds sanctuary with over 36 different species; an exceptional botanical garden, where you can see a great variety of flowers and native plants; an aquarium, with marine beauties previously reserved only for the scuba divers.
